Government and special mission operators may choose to improve the performance of their King Air 200s or 350s with enhancement packages from Commuter Air Technology. These aircraft may be used effectively for surveillance, maritime patrol, search and rescue, counter-terrorism and electronic reconnaissance roles. Studies of the CATPASS 250 indicate that government operators of King Air 350s could experience a 1,500 pound (680 kg) gross weight increase and an extra 188 gallons (710 liters) in fuel savings. Endurance would also increase significantly -- from 5.2 hours to 8.2 hours. CATPASS 250s are in service with government clients around the world. CATPASS 350s will be in production by the end of 2003.
