Scottsdale AZ – August 30, 2005: After years of research and modifications,
Commuter Air
Technology (CAT) is proud to announce approval for the manufacture and installation
of the Exhaust
Gas Extractor (EGE) system for Raytheon Beechcraft King Air C- and E-90 series
aircraft.
Benefits of the system include:
· Virtually eliminates exhaust stack cracking
· Virtually eliminates exhaust stack sooting and residue
· Improvements in aircraft performance
· Reduced drag
· Increased climb performance
· Lower engine temperatures
· Reduced fuel consumption
· Increased speed
The King Air 90 series EGE joins our existing product line, which includes EGEs
already in service on
King Air 200 aircraft. The EGE is designed as a venture-shaped stack with an
elliptical exhaust exit
area that is harmonically balanced and aerodynamically efficient. Structural
integrity was further
enhanced through the use of a stainless steel alloy in concert with an applied
ceramic coating. The
King Air 90-series EGE comes with a 2 Year, 1000 hour warranty.
Commuter Air Technology also produces a complete line of safety and
performance upgrades for
King Air aircraft that include the CATPass 250, a full-blown modification of
the BB-200 airframe
encompassing leading edge mods, “turbofan” propellers, ram air recovery
systems, dual aft body
strakes, high density seating, extended nose, hydraulic landing gear systems,
Cleveland wheels and
brakes, wilderness tires, zero fuel weight increase kit, low oil pressure warning
system, dual door
cables, EGEs and lower wing spar reinforcement kit. Each of the above is available
separately, as well.
